Manager, Oil & Gas Services and Equipment Development Grant (OGSE DG)

JOB PURPOSE

 

The role will be responsible for all matters pertaining to management and operations of MPRC’s OGSE Development Grant, including the monitoring and reporting on all “Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) to all related stakeholder. In addition, this role will also be responsible for the management and operations of the “Secretariat” for the Steering Committee for the Oil & Gas Innovation & Technology Collaboration (OGITeC) Group.

Key responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop, maintain and administer all the necessary processes related to MPRC’s OGSE Development Grant.
  • Monitor and report of all success metrics related to MPRC’s OGSE Development Grant to relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Managing small team and delegating responsibilities among team members.
  • Lead preparations of correspondences, memoranda, reports and other material of a highly confidential nature.
  • Create key storylines for specific project and delivers both written and verbal presentations as required in an insightful and easy-to understand manner. Must be able to communicate with tact, judgement, empathy and energy.
  • Generates innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, using existing information to its fullest potential and working with the senior management.
  • Establish new and maintain close working relationship with stakeholders. Engage stakeholders at all operational levels to obtain alignment and shared direction.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, task forces and workgroups, and
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time by management or immediate supervisor whenever deemed appropriate.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Have at least 8 years working experience in the relevant field with 4-5 years within functional area.
  • Good understanding of the entire process related to grants, subsidies, financial aids, etc.
  • Knowledge regarding Innovation and Technology Development initiatives in Malaysia.
  • Project management.
  • Business development.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Academic background and/or experience in oil & gas is a bonus.

 

SKILLS

 

  • Competent user for Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills both in person and by phone with high professionalism.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Posses at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Economics, International Business, Marketing, and Oil & Gas-related disciplines preferred) with a minimum grade of second class upper. MBAs will be highly considered.
  • Passion for nation building.
  • Willing to travel as domestic and international travelling may be required.
  • Contract position only.
