Contract-for-Service (CFS) - Analyst, Communications (CCUS, Corporate Strategy and Research)

Contract duration: 1 year

JOB PURPOSE

 

As a CCUS Communications Analyst, the role is to support the development and implementation of communication strategies aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of CCUS initiatives. Working closely with the Manager and other team members, the candidate will contribute to various communication activities and assist in tracking and analysing key metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts.

Key responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Assisting in Communications Planning:
  • Support the development of communication plans for CCUS initiatives, including identifying target audiences, messaging strategies, and communication channels.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling communication activities in alignment with project objectives.
  1. Content Creation and Management:
  • Contribute to the creation of content for various communication channels, including social media posts, website updates, newsletters, and presentations.
  • Help manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of communication materials.
  1. Social Media Support:
  • Assist in managing and monitoring social media channels to engage with stakeholders and amplify key messages related to CCUS.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a professional and timely manner.
  1. Event Coordination and Support:
  • Provide logistical support for events, workshops, webinars, and other communication activities organised by the CCUS team.
  • Assist in coordinating event logistics, including venue bookings, speaker coordination, and materials preparation.
  1. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project partners, industry experts, and government agencies, to gather input and support communication initiatives.
  • Help maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and respond to their communication needs as required.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Assist in documenting communication activities, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and action items.
  • Support the preparation of regular reports on communication metrics, insights, and outcomes for project stakeholders.
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

  1. Basic understanding of data analysis: Ability to interpret data and metrics to inform communication strategies and assess their effectiveness.
  2. Knowledge of media landscape: Awareness of different media platforms and their audience reach to leverage them effectively in communication planning.
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to various stakeholders.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in communications, market research, data analysis, or related roles.
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Familiarity with media channels, including traditional and digital platforms.
  5. Experience in communication and analytics tools such as media monitoring software, social media analytics platforms, and data visualisation tools.
  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Ethical awareness and a commitment to upholding industry standards and best practices in communication.
  8. Experience in event management is a plus.
