Boustead Penang Shipyard (BPS) is a subsidiary of the Boustead Group that has an active interest in primary sectors of the Malaysian economy, namely O&G, Heavy Industries, Plantation, Property, Pharmaceutical, Trading & Industrial, and Finance & Investment.
BPS and its parent company BHIC Group provide a complete range of solutions for platforms and equipment, systems maintenance, repair and overhaul. We support military and commercial surface
vessels, submarines, helicopters and critical equipment such as combat management and essential control systems, defence electronics, electrical equipment and engines.
Core Business
The activities within the Heavy Industries and Oil & Gas sectors include diverse maritime and aerospace interests such as platform and jackets fabrication, shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy engineering and defence related works.
Our strength includes the capabilities in fabrication in specialist ferrous and non-ferrous metals and non-metallic materials, in particular glass reinforced plastics. We also have the expertise in handling modern and best-equipped heavy fabrication facilities.
To complement the O&G industry, Boustead Group through BHIC also caters to naval and commercial vessels such as patrol and fast troop vessels, luxury yachts, anchor handling tugboats, twin screw tugboats, offshore supply vessels, vehicular ferries and littoral combat ships.
